WHO CREATED THE EARTH?

Who Created the Earth?

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Gen 1:1

There is no doubt in my mind that God is real and that he created this ball we live on called Earth.  He created every living creature, past, present and future.  I would like to tell you how I know this is true, but I do not have enough years to write it all down.  However, in my simple way, I will share some non-scientific reasons why I know.
Atheists do not believe God exists, although they cannot provide information to explain it.   Some scientists believe they have found the answer to how the earth is created, but it is only their word against those who believe in God and they have no proof.  They claim the earth is so many million years old by how they scientifically date it.  Who set up this system of ‘dating’ things?  Man did!  Who made the decision that it was right?
I’m not disputing how old the earth could be.  We have proof that cave men and dinosaurs once lived on this planet.  Note I didn’t say ‘monkeys’, but men and women that lived in caves and drew pictures on walls. The Bible tells us that “With the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” [2 Peter 3:8]  No one actually knows when earth was created.  Some believe it is only 6,000 years old because this is when Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden.  God could have taken millions of years to create all the things that make earth and those that dwell in it.
Here are different ways that people believe human’s came into existence.  1) We evolved from a certain type of cell.  2)  We eventually evolved from apes to Neanderthals; to humans like we are today.  The problem is, there is a missing link, or a gap, between all this, so it blows that theory out of the water. Besides that, there is no DNA from the apes, etc., that is linked to humans. 3) Some believe aliens dropped people off here millions of years ago and they were the beginning of the human race.  4) Some believe in “Intelligent Design”, where a superior intelligence created all, but did it millions of years ago and not 6,000 years ago.  They do not call this intelligence ‘God’.
None of this makes any sense, which brings to mind this verse in the Bible, “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise.” [I Corinthians 1:27] Generally people who depend on their own knowledge are only wise in their own eyes.  People who depend on God believe “With God all things are possible.” [Matthew 19:27]
Look around you and see the handiwork of God.  Take birds for instance. We enjoy feeding and watching the birds. Did you know when birds land on a branch, their feet lock around the branch so they can sleep and not fall off?  Birds have wings and tails, but they are very different in what they eat; how they build nests and where they like to live.  Some have long beaks and some have short ones.  Some, like the cardinal and the tufted titmouse have a tuft on top of their heads.  How about the number of the variety of various fish?
Then let’s examine people.  Could it just happen that we can talk, swallow and have a heart that keeps pumping blood through our body?  Take the eye for instance; it knows how to blink, stay open and close when we sleep. Now, I know that happens with reflex when we send signals to our eyes to do certain things.  How about when we send signals to our hands to do what we want them to do?  The most amazing thing is that we are made with all these functions that control our body and our brain to work together.  Do you really think it’s because a cell fell on our planet and turned into this miraculous machine we call the ‘Human Body?”
Did it just happen that the moon is where it is because we need it to control the ocean’s tides?  Was it that some floating mass in the atmosphere decided to stop just so many miles from the moon?  Perhaps the sun just happened along, so it could give light for a day and darkness for a night.
If you’ve ever witnessed a birth, you would find it hard to not believe that God created it in its mother’s womb.  Yes, it takes a man and a woman to make a child; it can’t happen unless an egg and sperm meet together.  It’s a reminder that marriage should only be between a man and a woman.  Otherwise God would have made it possible for two people of the same sex to create children.
Look around; God is everywhere; the sky, the trees, the sea and the birds.  He speaks to me through the Bible, the smile of a child, the hugs of someone who loves you.  When you lift your heart and hands in praise and worship, you know God is there; when you pray and peace floods your heart.

Yes, my friend, this proves the existence of God.
